YFK–International Kashmir Lobby Group obtained this video with permission

European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights heard details on the humanitarian situation in Indian-controlled Jammu & Kashmir on 19 February 2019.

According to its official web page, the agenda included an “Exchange of views with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on the human rights situation in Kashmir.”

The OHCHR called in June 2018 for an international investigation mainly into the Indian-controlled territory which has seen disturbing abuses in the presence of Indian military. The UN investigation includes Azad Kashmir, under Pakistani control.

The discussion at European Parliament’s Subcommittee saw criticism of India’s role in the disputed territory.
