5th February, Kashmir Solidarity Day
On February 5, the people of Pakistan and Kashmir celebrate Kashmir Day. It is a day of remembrance for the Kashmiri citizens who have lost their lives defending their independence. The people of Kashmir have been struggling for their freedom for a long time.
February 5 marks Kashmir Solidarity Day in Pakistan, where the streets of Pakistan turns emerald green and the sound of freedom cries echoes throughout the country. This day holds a significant place in our nation’s history as we stand in solidarity with our fellow citizens residing in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). It is a day when the hearts of all Pakistanis beat together in support of our brothers and sisters in Kashmir.
The speeches and rallies of the Kashmiri people are not just emotional but also significant. It is a day to commemorate and acknowledge their struggle for freedom, which has been stifled by the sound of boots on stolen land for many decades. We, in Pakistan, feel every tremor of their tightrope. It is a shared history, a shared ache, a shared dream of a Kashmir whole, a free Kashmir.
Close your eyes and listen to the wind whispering stories of injustice through the occupied valleys. Imagine bustling markets that have been transformed into silent areas with curfews, families torn apart by missing members. Observe the glint of barbed wire and checkpoints in the eyes of young Kashmiris instead of their dreams. Would you not want to help them? Is it not your instinct telling you to shout with defiance and stand side by side with them?
Every Pakistani holds a promise close to their heart, which is echoed in the wind every Kashmir Solidarity Day. We vow to never forget the history of our fellow brethren from Kashmir, to advocate for them, and to keep their legacy alive. Even in the darkest corners of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, we pledge to keep their flame of hope burning strong.
We pay tribute to the martyrs whose blood has stained the path to liberty. We honor the unwavering spirit of the Kashmiris who refused to submit to persecution or run from their fears. We recall the countless acts of rebellion and the quiet protest cries that echoed through the streets that were occupies illegally.
This is not a mere political chess game, it is a human story. The heartbeats of every Pakistani are filled with a desire for self-determination, a future that has been denied, and a land that has been taken away. We stand with the people of Kashmir not solely because of political motives, but rather because they are our kin, our blood, and a reflection of the fight for justice that we have experienced firsthand.
On this Day of Solidarity for Kashmir, our voices echo as we raise our anthem high. Our unshakable support for IIOJK thunders through the air, and we want them to know that they are not alone in their struggle.
We, Pakistanis, stand with them in their battle, with emerald green hearts entwined. As long as Kashmir bleeds, Pakistan will stand with its people. Our commitment and solidarity will continue to shine bright until the day an IIOJK is set free. Together, we will write a different ending to this story, an ending where freedom paints the valleys green, where laughter ripples through markets, and where families reunite under a peaceful sky. That is the promise of Kashmir Solidarity Day, a promise that echoes for generations to come.
