News: Kashmiris observing Accession to Pakistan Day, today
Kashmiris from both sides of Line of Control and across the world observing Accession to Pakistan Day with a strong commitment to keep fighting for Jammu and Kashmir’s full merger with Pakistan and freedom from Indian occupation.
At a meeting of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference held at Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan’s residance in the Aabi Guzar, Srinagar on July 19, 1947, authentic representatives of the Kashmiri people overwhelmingly approved the resolution calling for Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan.
In light of Kashmir’s existing religious, geographical, cultural, and economic proximity to Pakistan as well as the aspirations of millions of Kashmiri Muslims, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution asking for a free and impartial palpitate in Jammu & Kashmir.
The development had occurred over a month before Pakistan and India officially became independent states on August 14 and 15, respectively, in accordance with the British Indian colony’s Partition Plan.
The Princely state were free to join any of the two newly formed countries, as was intended by the Partition Plan. The July 19th, 1947 ruling served as evidence of Kashmir’s people’s determination to tie their destiny to Pakistan. They made the decision to join Pakistan in order to safeguard their political, religious, social, cultural, and economic rights because they were aware of what would happen to them under Hindus who had a long-standing enmity toward Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a report, even the darkest acts of Indian brutality have not been able to dim Kashmiris’ affection for Pakistan. In the past more than seven decades, approximately 500,000 Kashmiris have given their lives to free Jammu and Kashmir from Indian illegal occupation.
According to the research, the Indian army has killed nearly 96,000 Kashmiris since January 1989 in their ongoing acts of state terrorism, including 7245 people who were detained. Throughout this time, the army has harassed over 11,255 women, abducted over 8,000 Kashmiri youth, destroyed and damaged as many as 110,486 homes, and more than 4,000 Kashmiris are still being held in various jails in both India-occupied Kashmir and its neighbour. However, these atrocities, the report continued, have not been able to persuade the Kashmiri people to abandon their just cause, and they are resolute to keep fighting for their dearly held objective.
