ISLAMABAD—International Lobbying Group Youth Forum For Kashmir (YFK) in collaboration with National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad has organized a Seminar on Pakistan Defense Day titled “Kashmir The Defense Line of Pakistan” to pay rich tributes to the martyrs of 6 Sept. 1965 war and to highlight the post Burhan Wani killing situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Brig. Riaz Ahmed Gondal, Director General NUML said that on this defense day of Pakistan, we are committed to our resolve towards Kashmir. We have achieved this country after a huge sacrifice. We know the importance of independence and we should continue our moral support for Kashmir cause.
Mr. Ali Muhammad Khan, Member National Assembly of Pakistan said that we as a Pakistani should realize who our enemy is; India is just a pawn in this great game of Israel. We should teach our children who is our friend & foe. Today we are not any party but a Pakistani first. As a Pakistani it’s our duty to stand up for our brothers and sisters in Kashmir suffering the brutalities by the hand of Indian army.
Mr. Altaf Hussain Wani, Senior Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader said that political parties of Pakistan should come out on roads for Kashmir; this is the time when every other issue is secondary. People of Kashmir are doing their part, Pakistan has to play it’s role as an advocate effectively.
Mr. Ahmed Quraishi, Executive Director YFK-International Kashmir Lobby Group said that Kashmir is the Defense line of Pakistan. When India has to show its aggressive designs towards Pakistan, India starts to show in the valley of Kashmir first by their barbaric acts of killings and other violations.
Maj. Gen. (R) Syed Usman Shah, HoD Governance & Public Policy Dept. NUML said that our hope is youth, mistakes done in past shouldn’t impact our future.
Mr. Zammurd Khan, Patron-In-Chief Pakistan Sweet Homes after his closing remarks presented souvenirs to all the distinguished guests.
Governance & Public Policy Dept. students sang anthems to paid tributes to the martyrs of 6 Sept. 1965 war and Kashmiri martyrs.
Youth Forum For Kashmir (YFK) is Pakistan’s first pro-Kashmir, registered and nonpartisan International lobbying group led by young Kashmiris and Pakistanis working to ensure justice to Kashmiris living under Indian-military occupation.
