Great Power India Is Afraid Of An Old Kashmiri Man: Ahmed Quraishi

ISLAMABAD—International lobbying group Youth Forum For Kashmir (YFK) condemns Indian-occupation army for putting senior Kashmir freedom leader Syed Ali Geelani under house arrest and arresting Musarrat Alam.
“Great regional power India is intimidated by a frail, old man whose only power is that he’s a symbol of freedom,” said Ahmed Quraishi, Chief Lobbyist at YFK, in a statement released in Islamabad.
Geelani was supposed to leave today for Tral to address town’s residents. Tral is the place where Indian soldiers killed a 21-year-old Kashmiri young man two days earlier.
Apparently, the Indian occupation is panicked after the unprecedented welcome that Geelani received in Srinagar two days before, where Kashmiris came out waving Pakistan flags and chanting Anti-India slogans. He returned to Kashmir after several months of hospitalization in New Delhi.
Indian-occupation army and administration in Kashmir is probably worried that Tral residents will show more Anti-India anger if Geelani reaches their town just two days after the extrajudicial killing of the young Kashmiri man.
YFK said it demands the unconditional release of Geelani, Musarrat and all political prisoners, an end to Indian policy of extrajudicial killings, and the withdrawal of Indian army from Kashmir.
The YFK is a grassroots lobbying group led by young Kashmiris and Pakistanis working to ensure justice to Kashmiris living under Indian military occupation.
