ISLAMABAD—Haider Zaman Qureshi, Secretary Finance, Pakistan Peoples Party, visited the office of YFK–International Kashmir Lobby Group (Youth Forum For Kashmir) in Islamabad. He received a briefing on the latest lobbying effort by Kashmir human rights activists inside and outside the Indian-occupied territory.
Ahmed Quraishi, Executive Director of YFK, who conducted the briefing, discussed with the senior PPP politician the status of international Kashmir activism, and thanked him for PPP’s clear stance on Kashmir conflict. The PPP was founded on the basis of resolving Kashmir conflict according to UN Security Council Resolutions and the wishes of Kashmiri people, Haider Zaman Qureshi said.
The United Nations has ended its half-century of silence on Kashmir, giving diplomats, activists and rights defenders a new hope to push for conflict resolution, which is stalled due to Indian intransigence.
YFK–International Kashmir Lobby Group (Youth Forum For Kashmir) is a non-partisan, international non-governmental organization, working for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir Conflict in accordance with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolutions.
