Kashmir Stands By Pakistan Army On Youm-e-Shuhada
ISLAMABAD, 30 April—Kashmiris in Pakistan interrupted a seminar in Islamabad on India’s forced elections in Kashmir to offer Fateha and pay rich tributes to the Armed Forces of Pakistan on Martyrs Day.
The Youth Forum for Kashmir (YFK) organized a national seminar in the Pakistani capital on Wednesday to discuss the elections in Kashmir under the shadow of India’s occupation army.
In the middle of the proceedings, a young Kashmiri girl, Shaista Safi, a migrant from Baramula in Indian-occupied Kashmir, delivered a passionate speech. Safi said she grew up singing national Kashmiri songs that mentioned Pakistan Army soldiers as heroes. The military of Pakistan has always stood by the people of Kashmir, and it is our time now to tell Pakistan Army that Kashmir stands by you, said Safi.
Seminar participants recited Fateha for the martyrs of Pakistan and Kashmir.
YFK is Pakistan’s first pro-Kashmir lobbying group run by Kashmiri and Pakistani youth. The group is a platform that unites the youth in Indian-occupied Kashmir with their counterparts in Pakistan and AJK.
